Homelessness Support Worker\n\nLocation: Martin House & Hatfield Road, St Albans\nHours: Part-time (32.5 hours per week) \nSalary: £23,271 per annum\n\nJoin our dedicated homelessness team supporting adults with complex needs to regain stability, build independence and move towards their own accommodation.\n\nThe Role\n\nBased mainly at Hatfield Road (5 beds), you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service, offering practical and emotional support that helps residents feel respected, included and empowered. You will:\n\nSupport residents with daily routines, life skills and personal goals\nRespond calmly to challenging situations and maintain clear boundaries\nKeep the building safe through checks, repairs reporting and maintaining shared spaces\nComplete accurate case notes, risk assessments and other documentation.You will also spend time at Martin House (16 beds) for safety checks and occasional support, working collaboratively with the wider team.\nRegular lone working is required, so confidence and good decision-making are essential.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou are resilient, proactive and calm under pressure, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds.
