Civil Engineer\n\nLocation: Remote (with occasional travel to offices in Edinburgh or Glasgow)\n Rate: £600 per day (Inside IR35)\n Contract: Until December 2026, with a strong likelihood of a further 12-month extension\n\nAre you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to play a key role in the delivery of major renewable energy infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland?\n\nWe are seeking a Civil Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for supporting the development, design, and delivery of large-scale onshore energy projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that will play a significant role in the UK's transition to a low-carbon future.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be responsible for managing and coordinating civil engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nManaging civil engineering design activities across multiple projects\nDeveloping scopes of work, technical specifications, and tender documentation\nReviewing contractor and consultant designs and technical submissions\nSupporting infrastructure design including access roads, foundations, earthworks, drainage, and associated civil works\nManaging civil engineering risks, assumptions, and technical decisions\nSupporting procurement, construction, commissioning, and due diligence activities\nCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, environmental, and project delivery functions\nEnsuring designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and CDM requirements\nSupporting geotechnical assessments and mitigation strategies throughout project development and delivery\n\nAbout You\n\nWe're interested in hearing from candidates who have:\n\nDegree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience\nExperience delivering civil engineering solutions on major infrastructure, energy, utilities, renewables, or construction projects\nStrong understanding of civil design, including roads, foundations, drainage, earthworks, and geotechnical considerations\nExperience managing engineering consultants and contractors\nKnowledge of relevant design standards, regulations, and CDM requirements\nExperience producing and reviewing technical specifications and engineering documentation\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience within renewable energy projects, particularly onshore wind, would be highly advantageous.\n\nRullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants
